Jason DeHart
VP Discovery Biology

Jason is VP of Discovery Biology at Replay. Prior to Replay, he was Head of RNA Replicon Immunotherapeutics at Janssen and oversaw early-stage discovery through NME for multiple RNA vaccine programs in infectious disease and oncology.

Prior to Janssen, Jason developed a novel synthetic self-replicating RNA vaccine platform at Synthetic Genomics which was purchased by a top 5 animal health pharmaceutical company. He led the RNA platform discovery team (10+ FTE) consisting of managers, scientists and research associates responsible for the development of novel RNA based medicines.

As a Postdoc at The Salk Institute for Biology Studies, he combined high throughput gene expression profiling and molecular virology to identify key signaling nodes targeted during both viral infection and tumorigenesis, using traditional molecular biology, gene assembly and synthetic biology techniques to design and engineer HSV-1 and Adenovirus oncolytics.
