Maria Castner-Miller

Maria Castner Miller is SVP and General Counsel of Replay. She is responsible for managing the company’s legal affairs. Maria has over 20 years of experience serving as corporate counsel to both public and private biotech companies. Prior to joining Replay, Maria owned a consulting firm where she served as outside GC to more than a dozen public and private companies in the biotech and pharma industry, ranging from start-ups to global, publicly traded companies. Previously, she was Vice President of Legal Affairs at QIAGEN, a $10B global life science and diagnostic company. While at QIAGEN, Maria led the US legal department and contributed to long-term strategic collaborations, acquisitions and regulatory milestones, while managing litigation and compliance. Prior to QIAGEN, Maria was in-house counsel for Digene, a publicly traded biotech with the first FDA-approved diagnostic test for HPV. At Digene, Maria built a legal department from scratch while negotiating key customer contracts and supply agreements to ensure commercial success. She began her legal career as an associate at the law firm of Morgan Lewis in Washington, DC. She received her J.D. from the University of Miami magna cum laude and her B.A. in Law and Society from American University, cum laude.
